Many people are opposed to outsourcing. Many people in india as well, think that working in call centres/bpo is not worth. We can find many number of young talents in India are young, competant, capable, intelligent, vibrant but due to many reasons cannot prove their worth ,out of which family discouragement is one such reason.

But why ? I dont find a reason not to accept outsourcing. Infact today indian economy is sky rocketing due to high earning powers and young people who start their wonderful career pretty early in life.

But yes, each and every situation can be viewed in 2 perspectives - positive and negative. Likewise, each and every instance in life has both advantages and disadvantages.

In the coming days i will be discussing abut the top companies to work with in india, the most respected Bpo’s in india, the various advantages and dis-advantages working in a bpo.

Not to forget i will also be providng with indepth info about the work culture.

If you are already working in a call centre/bpo then we could as well discuss the call taking procedures, quality parametres and various other parametres which makes a successful worker.

BPO is the process of hiring another company to handle business activities for you.

Frequently, BPO is also referred to as ITES — information technology-enabled services. Since most business processes include some form of automation, IT “enables” these services to be performed

Generally outsourcing can be defined as - An organization entering into a contract with another organization to operate and manage one or more of its business processes.

      FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

The global BPO industry will be worth $230 billion by 2012 and India stands to gain $50 billion of that global pie

“Our bottom up analysis shows a total export BPO market opportunity of $220-280 billion and Indian BPO industry can target $50 billion in export revenues by 2012,”.

The banking, capital insurance and manufacturing verticals will constitute 70 per cent ($160 -190 billion) of this global BPO market.

Technology, telecom and travel industry verticals ($10 billion) will also be big markets,

the BPO growth will provide job opportunity to two million graduates in the country.

Currently 0.7 million graduates are employed by the industry, which at present garners $11 billion in revenues.
